So you're looking for a wife?

Last month we looked at a laundry-list of requirements for her prospective boyfriend, posted on Craigslist by a lady in New York. We awarded her our Doofus Of The Day award in the process.

Now comes the news of a man's attempt to find a wife, posted on Craigslist in London, UK. He didn't go the normal route of putting it in the personals - he listed it as a job!

Among the highlights:

Operating from the stylish premises in North London in a fun and supportive atmosphere, you'll deal with high-priority tasks and use proactive methods in managing overall workload. Specific duties include, but not limited to:

• Creating and maintaining positive atmosphere in the immediate environment
• Coordinating meeting food/catering requests
• Anticipating and planing for upcoming needs
• Child bearing and upbringing
• Maintaining stylish looks of herself and the immediate surroundings

No ironing skills are required for this position.

The compensation is negotiable. This is a permanent position following a period of probation.

You'd need

• To be well-spoken, charming and outgoing
• Have interest in arts, sport and literature
• Be smart in appearance
• Be between 25 and 35 years of age

Sexual fluency is a plus but not crucial as training will be provided.

Read the rest at the link.

Personally, if I was looking for the love o' my life, I think I'd like to do so less . . . impersonally . . . than a recruitment advertisement! And as for the training on offer - how would she know it's the best available? References, please, and certificates of competence from recognized training institutions! One can't be too careful, you know!

"Anticipating and planning for upcoming needs . . ." That leaves far too much to the imagination.
But I will give the man points for honesty. Not romantic intentions, or great insight, but honesty.

I think it's pretty clear this guy isn't looking for the love of his life so much as he is another employee.

Verification: "hogiving". No, I don't think she'll be offering her services gratis...
