Now that's an impressive performance!

I was surprised to see this video of a Subaru Legacy WRX pulling a cargo truck out of snow and ice in Europe. I'd have thought the little car, with its small engine and light weight, didn't stand a chance of towing something so much bigger and heavier, but it did just fine.

That speaks very well for Subaru cars, IMHO. They should use it in their advertising.

Can we say overpowered little race car??? :-) 305 HP and 4WD works every time!

Plus, of course, the cargo truck was doubtlessly supplying some forward power as well -

All that was needed was that little extra "boost", to get the cargo hauler over the slight incline up to the railway crossing.

Nice job, though...

At the risk of pedantry, it is an Impreza WRX, and that particular one is the STi sub-variant of it, with the more power and all the rest.

I agree this would make good marketing material. I saw something similar in touring car racing when the AWD Audi in the second row launched itself past the two RWD BMWs in the front row on the start of the race.

I think if I get out of the Mazda I've got, I'll get something AWD.
