Doofus Of The Day #348

Today's Doofus is from Australia.

A man who called in police after he was attacked in a home invasion apparently forgot he had $10,000 worth of allegedly illegal drugs on the premises.

Police found the drugs, as well as $9000 in cash and a money-counting machine, when they went to the unit in Corrimal, on the NSW south coast.

The man called police to his home on Thalassa Avenue, just after midnight, saying he had been attacked.

Officers found blood throughout the unit, but said they also found the drugs, including 4.3 kilograms of cannabis and 77 tablets believed to be ecstasy.

The 25-year-old man was taken to Wollongong Hospital with an injured finger and was later charged with supplying and possessing prohibited drugs, and dealing with the proceeds of crime.

He was refused bail and was due to appear in Wollongong Local Court.

I'm sure the cops were absolutely delighted to be presented with the evidence on a plate, as it were. Next time perhaps our Doofus will be more circumspect!
