Doofus Of The Day #399

Today's Doofus comes from Gloucester, MA.

It seems a Gloucester mail carrier is suspected of stealing a cellphone left by a woman on her mailbox for a couple of minutes while her back was turned. Police found him with the phone only 13 minutes later . . . but the owner then complained that "there were now six pictures of a man's penis on her phone that were not there before. Police also learned that the pictures were sent to a friend of the woman via e-mail through the phone's contact list."

The cops duly called in the Post Office's own police, who investigated and confirmed that underwear visible in some of the photographs was identical to that worn by the mail carrier that day. He was duly arrested.

One has to admit, he's a fast worker. He had the phone for only 13 minutes, yet in that time he managed to scoot round a corner, drop his pants, photograph Mr. Happy, and e-mail the pictures to a complete stranger! I wonder if his mail deliveries were as speedy?

Inscribed on the General Post Office in New York City at 8th Avenue and 33rd Street is the motto, "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds". (Some want to know, "Well, what is it, then?") I suspect our Doofus took that motto to heart - or perhaps, under the circumstances, to another portion of his anatomy!

And they ID'd him by the underwear? I suppose there were no distinctive identifying marks on the anatomical object in question.
