That bike's like most bureaucrats - pilotless!

I'm afraid my blog posts tonight have been a bit depressing, even if they've dealt solely with reality. In order to lighten up a bit, here's an old video clip about a bike that seems to have a mind of its own when it comes to a race.

It's a bit like most bureaucrats - mindlessly going on, directionless, unless and until something intervenes to stop it. Metaphor for government, anyone?

One of the funniest things I've seen in real life, in part because the only thing hurt was the rider's dignity, was at the Manitoba, well, Provincial Fair is what I'd call it. It was during a pas de deux show jumping round and one of the horses balked, sending his (?) rider over the fence. The rider was OK, but the horse then completed the course solo without touching a single rail! I never did find out how the judges decided to score the round, but the horse should have gotten some credit.
