"He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"

The title of this article is, of course, a direct quotation from Jesus to his disciples.  However, in the context of tonight's discussion, I suggest it's as important as a Biblical command for every American who takes his citizenship seriously.

Last Monday there was a town council meeting in Concord, NH, to discuss, amongst other things, the purchase of a Bearcat armored vehicle for use by the city's police.  One of the citizens who rose to respond was retired Marine Colonel Pete Martino.  Here's what he had to say.

You can read a report of proceedings here, containing a transcript of his remarks.

I fully support and endorse what Col. Martino had to say.  Our police are fast becoming over-militarized (not to mention overbearing in their approach to their fellow citizens).  You'll even hear police talking about 'civilians', forgetting that they are civilians too.  Only those in the military can be classified as 'not civilian' - a distinction that most emphatically does not apply to law enforcement.  (I've been both, so I should know!)

Please spread the word about this video clip, and the message it contains.  It's vitally important.

He is exactly right... Especially the domestic military comment!

The government keeps creating more and more laws, more each day. More laws, often unnecessary, create more law breakers. When people become law breakers they have less respect for other laws as well as for the government and police. You need a police state to control a micromanaged society like we are building.

Baia danke! It is so refreshing to hear and see someone else who cares for the fate of this country and her people
state so eloquently the principle points regarding this issue.

And thus the need for an actual militia. The cops are the "standing army" about which were were warned.
