The first one to come to looks around and says "Where the hell are we?" That would have given him more time to assess his situation, and get a bit more altitude.

However, the fact that he didn't give a crash warning to his passengers makes me think he has a problem with depth/distance perception. It appears that he didn't know he was crashing until the first tree impact. This type of disability can be more obvious when driving, as they have a constant problem of not slowing down soon enough as they approach stopped traffic, or empty intersections.Willhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00722792638246578812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6244999628674918029.post-60256420332481305662015-10-26T14:40:36.686-05:002015-10-26T14:40:36.686-05:00I dimly recall that the taking off from water and ...I dimly recall that the taking off from water and taking off from runway use different tables and you should not confuse them...Angus McThaghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09295013525738248801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6244999628674918029.post-83665160258369378242015-10-26T14:14:56.119-05:002015-10-26T14:14:56.119-05:00They are damn lucky!!!They are damn lucky!!!Old NFOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16404197287935017147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6244999628674918029.post-57586328654225830422015-10-26T13:22:44.386-05:002015-10-26T13:22:44.386-05:00Weight and balance checks are not an optional step...Weight and balance checks are not an optional step.

When it's a bigger plane the consequence is even worse, as in the case of Air Midwest 5481.Aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08146728790019377401noreply@blogger.com
