The busybody who imagines he has to make the world go around cannot imagine that his efforts may make things even worse, and the chaos in Iraq is one example. <br /><br />I'm reminded of Richard Weaver's observation about the difference between the worldviews of the urban North and the agrarian South: "The Southerner accepts the irremediability of a certain amount of evil and tries to fence it around instead of trying to stamp it out and thereby spreading it. They also seem quite willing to take as much time and violence as necessary to get rid of undesirables, sometimes replacing entire local populations with millions of ethnic Han. Have they changed?
