US politics have now become a war for survival - for both sides

I've written several articles pointing out that we can't vote our way out of this mess.  When the November 2020 elections were stolen - literally, through electoral fraud - the conservative side of US politics was (rightly) furious;  but they're talking in terms of winning the next election, and undoing the damage.  That's not going to happen.  The electoral legislation that the Democratic Party is right now ramming through Congress is designed to ensure that it alone wins elections from now on.  Anyone else won't get a look-in unless the powers that be decide to throw the other side a bone or two, to satisfy those they consider dangerous or obsessive.

This has led several commenters to talk (in so many words) in terms of civil war, armed resistance, and the like.  I've said on more than one occasion that I've seen it happen too often in other parts of the world, and it doesn't solve the problem.  It merely compounds the misery for the survivors.  However, I fear greatly that it'll be inevitable sooner or later, because those who've seized power are adamant that they'll never give it up.

Perhaps the best summary of their perspective, and the almost religious way in which the progressive left sees its mission, has been penned by The Smallest Minority in his essay "Immanentize the Eschaton!"  If you haven't already read it, I highly recommend that you click over there and do so, not just once, but repeatedly.  It clarifies the stakes for both sides, and provides an immense amount of food for thought.  In fact, go read it before you continue with this article.  It's worth your time.

Conservatives may believe that the restoration of our constitutional republic is of overriding importance (and, from a political perspective, I agree with them):  but, in terms of that same constitution, the progressive Left has committed high treason.  They've subverted and undermined the US political process to steal power from the legitimately elected candidate.  They know that if they ever lose power, those who take the reins from them will want criminal investigation and prosecution of all those involved in that electoral fraud - and one of the penalties for high treason is death.  For the left to allow the right to win would be to commit at least political, if not a very physical suicide.  This they will never do voluntarily.

That's why I get very tired and cynical when I hear conservative and/or right-wing politicians talk about "taking back the House" or "taking back the Senate" or "taking back the Presidency".  The "deep State" that facilitated last November's electoral fraud is going to make sure that even if one or more of those institutions changes hands, it will be so emasculated and hamstrung and controlled that it will be effectively meaningless.  We've seen far too many RINO's - Republicans In Name Only - who've abandoned their allegedly conservative principles and voted in lockstep with the progressive left on important issues.  What makes you think there won't be even more of them in future?  There'll be "Trojan Horse" candidates whom the Republican Party lets into its ranks, only to find they're traitors when push comes to shove - and that's only one way in which our political process will be manipulated.

TINVOWOOT.  There Is No Voting Our Way Out Of This.

The first step is for us to hold individuals accountable for their deeds.  That means we have to watch like hawks, to identify the real "powers that be" behind the electoral facade.  We know that former President Obama and his "Organizing for America" are in this up to their necks.  The White House and the Presidential administration are staffed with Obama loyalists and their cronies.  However, Obama isn't the kingpin behind this.  He's just a figurehead himself.  We'll need to look much, much deeper than that.  We'll also have to identify every member of the executive branch, in any and every department, who either stood by and did nothing to stop the progressive left take-over, or who actively aided, encouraged and participated in it.  They've got to go, just as much as the politicians - and they're just as determined, if not more so, to protect themselves.

This will almost certainly "turn kinetic" in due course.  The progressive left knows what awaits them if they fail;  so they'll embrace violence, and subvert the justice system to serve their interests in order to jail or "disappear" their opponents, rather than allow that to happen.  The conservative right knows that'll be their tactic;  so they'll adopt a more robust defense of themselves and their positions, up to and including physical resistance to oppression.

I expect a lot of this to play out in the so-called "Red states", where state governments will seek to pass laws restricting federal agencies from unrestricted operations in their state.  The central government will, of course, retaliate, and will have the force of federal law on its side.  Irresistible force, meet immovable object.

However, much will come down to the individual level.  If local officials seek to enforce a progressive left-wing edict, they'll have to be resisted by locals who refuse to allow tyranny to rule over them.  Based on my experience in the Third World, I have little doubt that'll turn physical in short order.  When officials know that enforcing an unpopular law or dictatorial edict might get them shot or burned out of their homes, they'll be a lot more circumspect in doing so.  No matter how much I hate it, that's the reality of the matter.  I've seen it in several countries so far, and I see no reason why it won't come to our shores before long.

So, when you talk politics in the USA today, bear in mind that it's not just politics.  It's a conflict for survival.  If we all come to our senses and seek mutual accommodation, that can be mutual survival . . . but that's no longer likely.  The progressive left has gone all-in on seizing and maintaining control, at any cost.  They're maintaining a puppet President in power, a man mentally incompetent to and incapable of exercising that office, because they can manipulate him to achieve their ends.  They've shut off the capital city of our nation from its people, and are protecting themselves and their institutions behind barbed wire and military guards, to keep the people out and keep themselves in power.  Those realities alone should illustrate that they're not going to give up, and they're not going to go away.

There Is No Voting Our Way Out Of This.

Our Founding Fathers had an answer for that.  I fear we may have to follow their example.

As NC Renegade summarizes it:

It’s sad what we have allowed to happen to our country. There is only one way to defeat communism, and yes we are now a communist nation, heck I think the Russians have more freedom than us at this point, but we are going to have to fight. This is going to be an elimination event. They hate us and everything we stand for. They want us dead and wiped from history. Personally I hope we get to write the History Books when this is over. Right now it seems all we can do is prepare, but sooner or later someone, some group, somewhere is going to have nothing left to lose soon and then that tiny event, that catalyst, will set this whole thing off.

I fear greatly that he's right.  My personal experience persuades me that he probably is.

I agree that Joe Biden is a mere puppet, and a laughable and disgraceful one at that.

However, while Obama surely owed his rise to powerful, ultra-rich backers, by now he has accumulated so many points in the "favor bank" -- so many people who owe him for what he did for them while in office -- that he at least has veto power.

The representatives of the donor class that made Obama could of course decide to drop him and build up a replacement. But that would take a long time. Thus I believe that Obama will continue as the most influential string-puller behind the scenes in the White House even after Joe is shuffled off to the nursing home and Kamala becomes President.

His latest foray advocating for slavery reparations gives an indication of the direction in which the third Obama administration is headed.

  2. All these actions are intended to promote a violent response from the right, so the left can "legitimately" eliminate them.

    Interesting times indeed...

  4. The signs were there during the first Clinton term. The Waco siege was just one battle in the war against Americans.

It was clear during and after the 2000 election, which Democrats are still complaining about.

The was obvious that the rot had set deep when Obama was reelected in 2012.

Now they are rubbing our faces in it - and some still refuse to see.

There are two alternatives now. We can surrender and be eliminated, and I mean that literally. Or we can fight, and have a chance of success.

As far as "fighting never solves anything" goes, George Washington proved that false almost 250 year ago.

  5. I do hope that, as you say"Soon" in discussing the kick-off to the upcoming unpleasantries, you are using a calendar to time things, and preferably NOT a "Day-At-A-Glance" version.

My FEAR is that it were more appropriate to be using an Acutron Watch or a track and field split-second stopwatch.

I'd MUCH rather think of this as being Post Spring Marching Season as opposed to the day after tomorrow. Since I see BOTH as not even just possible but virtually FULLY baked in the cake for this evening or tomorrow afternoon.

I hope you are wrong, and elections still matter.

It’s very hard to make major changes in our government, but we will see.

  7. All exactly as I've said as well, times beyond counting.

Neither side much wants it, but one side is absolutely clamoring for its start, and doing everything it can think of to insure the fuse is lit, and the other side is swinging around to wanting to accommodate the other's suicidal inclinations.

The Democommunists are going to find out presently that clinging to power while lusting for even more is a lot like peeing on an electric fence.

After the coming unpleasantness, there isn't going to be any gracious amnesty afterwards, provided arms are laid down and everyone agrees to be good henceforth.

One side is going to finish this standing on a pile of the corpses of the last of the losers, of necessity. This will be a cage deathmatch.

("How can you kill women and children?"
"It's easy: you just don't lead them as much."

As the Leftards wish with all their might for that wave to break, more and more on the conservative side are rehearsing in earnest for the role of fairy godmothers, to grant that wish.

    Good and hard.

It goes from tragedy to comedy the minute all TPTB that looked away, uncaring, and by studiously ignoring every opportunity to fulfill their oaths, and stop what's coming simply by applying justice blindly, and the media that egged it on like like a pack of baboons on crack, find out their faces are on the same deck of cards as the leaders of the steal, as queens and jacks. With any luck, that realization will come about five minutes too late to do them any good, and a lot of Qaddafi-style Supreme Court trials are going to be held in gas stations and strip malls from coast to coast.

The only problem I see with this is that we won't survive the coming purge the left wants to enact once they have solidified their power grab.

We just want to be left alone, they want us to kneel or die.

Not any options I see other than resistance. Savage, brutal, unrelenting resistance.

  9. NC Renegade has a great cartoon:

And while I've nowhere near the experience our host, Peter, has had - thankfully - nor those many other readers have had, this resonates as 100% true in my soul.

I've been saying for several years now that the Left is a cult - a religious faith filled with Marxianic Zeal to try and create on earth what cannot be created in actuality: paradise. And we are the heretics to be scourged and purged.

Except human life is not an alloy to have its inclusions and flaws beaten out of it until a pure alloy remains. Human nature is immutable. It can be controlled or channeled, but the flaws remain.

We face, in the Left, an enemy that desperately wants what cannot be, despite being True Believers in thinking it can. Delusional people with resources and drive are very, very dangerous.

Voting no longer matters and hasn’t for a very long time. This is going to get out of hand, quickly, and good people are going to get hurt.

Few today have left brain functioning using logic and critical thinking skills. I just turned 76 and baffled how few people I know are on same page. Hubby and I are social recluses giving up on trying to inform anyone. I have cut off people who are slackers and shallow over time. No time for losers and nihilists. Geez, talk about not knowing your enemy... I guess the Left really fails to understand how deeply the Right takes to heart all the "That's not who we are! We can't sink to their level! We obey the law! Our protests leave the locations spotless! But we have families and jobs!" mantra.

"We just want to be left alone, they want us to kneel or die."

That's why our side lurches from defeat to defeat. As was beautifully explained in the movie "Ride With the Devil":

Mr. Evans: And that is why they will win. Because they believe everyone should live and think just like them. And we shall lose because we don't care one way or another how they live. We just worry about ourselves.

Jack Bull Chiles: Are you sayin', sir, that we fight for nothin'?

Mr. Evans: Far from it, Mr. Chiles. You fight for everything that we ever had, as did my son. It's just that... we don't have it anymore.

  17. I doubt they have any fear of the right. Even as we speak those that support Trumpism still speak of the need for open dialogue and reaching across the aisle. Rep Madison Cawthorn just this week spoke of having a common link with AOC & Omar in regards to insults. Meanwhile, women being who they are, laugh at him behind his back. If ever they take office they will say, "America must now heal and stop this NEEDLESS infighting. It is time to move on for the good of the American People."

  18. @laura ann: You may have the right of it. The women of Sparta used to send their men off to war by saying, "Return with your shield, or on it." How many American women would say that to their husbands and sons today?

(As Robert Heinlein put it: "Later this custom declined. So did Sparta.")

  20. I have always been a man of peace. That doesn't mean that I am a pacifist, just that I seek no fight with any others.
Sadly, it appears that the left is setting things in motion to force the patriot's hands, into physically fighting, in defense of their own lives and rights. Right now, the patriots have no nation wide leader. That perhaps is as it should be. We are a union of 50 nation states, surrounding what was envisioned as a relatively weak central federal government.
Should trouble come, the huge cities like New York, LA, San Diego, Chicago, etc. won't have that big of a effect on an outcome. The so called fly over states are those that make up the heart and soul of the nation, and they are the people whose shoulders will bear the brunt of the coming battle. I hope it never comes, but I have predicted some of the things that will come to pass, and I have been pretty close so far.
My prediction that will be a triggering event will be a false flag directed towards the president, or the capitol in general, carried out with some people who are carrying some type of illegal weapon, either an unregistered machine gun, pipe bombs, etc. And the fed gov will be ready with not only the names of those who committed the event, but also will use it to crack down on legal gun owners, perhaps to the point where they will make it illegal to possess any type of weapon over a .22 lr rifle. A ground up movement of people attacking would suit their plans very well, but they won't be willing to wait, they might first get rid of Biden, and place Harris in his place first, then filling the VP seat, possibly with Hillary Clinton.
But make no mistake, the national guard and the barbed wire around the capitol is not there for publicity purposes. They are planning something.

  21. Remember your Solzhenitsyn:
"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

  23. @laura ann,

    Bless your heart.

But only a septuagenarian social reclusive would seriously suggest that American women will have any part of this fight, on the correct side. American women have a lot to answer for in terms of how we got to this point, over the last 100 years.

Look up sufferage, temperance, and the Progressive Movement, and note who the driving force was in undoing the carefully balanced constitutional republic with Amendments XVI-XIX.

Without giving women the vote, the last Democrat president in US history would have been Grover Cleveland.

Such a thing as a right-thinking woman can generally be counted on one's fingers, if not thumbs, in most counties of the nation.

  24. Heinlein predicted this as well. The bigger problem is, we are no longer a federal republic, where states can pretty much go their own way within a federal framework, and the country is too different to operate as a monolithic entity. I expect Balkanization is the final answer, and I do not expect it to work on a state level. You have to drop all the way to county level, and reorganize into units that share values and ethos.

  26. Our last line of civil defense short of war, including hyper-federalism is the jury power. The grands must become independent of prosecutor influence. In so doing investigate and indict corruption. Petit juries must exercise judgement of both the law and the facts, nullifying laws that infringe liberty or acquit when there has been prosecutorial or police overreach. This, writ large, will cull government power, forcing their tyrannical schemes out from under the veil of legal legitimacy where it can be met on equal terms.

  27. I do not agree; this entire scam depends upon free money from the Fed, which is already running out (they're pinching pennies in their $1.9T stimulus & they probably won't get the full $1.9T passed).

Since then I have spent well-nigh 50 years working on the history of our revolution; in the process I have read hundreds of books, collected hundreds of personal testimonies, and have already contributed eight volumes of my own toward the effort of clearing away the rubble left by that upheaval. But if I were asked today to formulate as concisely as possible the main cause of the ruinous revolution that swallowed up some 60 million of our people, I could not put it more accurately than to repeat: "Men have forgotten God; that's why all this has happened.”
