Sunday morning music
'Tis the season for Christmas music - but not the ghastly commercialized muzak that bombards us from every direction. Let's go back to 1912, and Vaughn Williams' "Fantasia on Christmas Carols".
I love this fantasia by Ralph Vaughan Williams! Thanks for bringing it to my remembrance! In the spirit of sharing good music, may I recommend a channel which you might enjoy? Ben Maton - The Salisbury Organist - an organist who goes around to old or abandoned churches in England and plays their organs and gives a bit of the history of the organ, the church, or the song he's playing. https://www.youtube.com/@SalisburyOrganist
the time changes in this piece are amazing!
