I always liked the observation by the late Richard Marcinko that some cultures required two sticks to pick up a grain of rice but only one stick to pick up two buckets of nightsoil.
notice that the word "poem" is written with 5 lines: all the letters with the exception of "E" can be easily written without lifting the pencil off the paper; so the word is written with 5 lines.
The only one I disagree with is the Chuck Norris meme.

Emperors and Warlords didn't want knives and sharp objects at the table when he was feeding his people.
Pretty hard to kill a Warlord with a chopstick. Knives..well..

Grew up mowing dad's lawn with his electric mower. We only owned extension cords with lots of tape on them.
