Verily, the mind doth boggle...

I've been something of a "prepper" for many years, but until last night it had never even crossed my mind to consider this.

The city of Annapolis, Maryland, has released an emergency preparedness guide tailored to the LGBTQ+ community, arguing that members of the community are more likely to be affected by natural disasters.

The Annapolis Office of Emergency Management, led by Kevin Simmons, published a graphic this week outlining its emergency preparedness recommendations for LGBTQ+ residents. The office states that disasters “present unique challenges for the LGBTQ+ community,” claiming that “After a disaster, LGBTQ+ people are almost twice as likely as the overall population to be displaced - and far more likely to face food insecurity, unsanitary conditions, and isolation during recovery.”

Under the recommendation to stay connected, the guide advises residents to establish a support network that can be contacted during emergencies and to identify “safe spaces” where resources may be available. For medical preparedness, the guide recommends speaking with healthcare providers to get an “emergency supply of retroviral and/or hormonal medications.”

The guide’s list of recommended supplies to gather includes standard emergency items as well as things such as “syringes” and “gender-affirming clothing.” It also lists “chest binders,” “wigs,” and “packers,” which are used by trans-identifying biological women to make it appear as though they have a bulge in their pants.

“Extreme heat can be challenging for those who rely on gender-affirming clothing,” the guide warned at the bottom. “Stay hydrated and take frequent breaks from chest binders on hot days.”

There's more at the link.

For the life of me, I can't see how LGBTQ+ concerns for preparedness are in any way, shape or form different from everyone else's concerns for the same thing.  Water doesn't ask for your sexual orientation before you drink it:  food, before you eat it:  and a blanket, before you sleep in it.  This appears to be a thoroughly artificial attempt to drag the politically correct cause du jour into an essentially practical field that has nothing whatsoever to do with gender.

I can, however, assure you that if, in a crisis, people come to me demanding that I give them a bottle of lesbian-safe water, or gay-safe guacamole, or bisexual beans, or ... well, you get the idea ... I'm likely to be very rude to them, and anything but sympathetic.

Ye Gods and little fishes . . .

  4. I wish them good luck getting their insurance to pay for stockpiling the drug cocktails past the basic supply they cover.
My insurance feels that having a week of pills left from the last fill is adequate. I'm sure they would be less happy filling refrigerated storage required drugs than my boring pills.

  5. Looks to me this isnt aimed at LGBTQ but at just the T’s. For the life of me, I cant figure how your sexual orientation affects your ability to prep. If it affects your attitudes about prepping/ preppers, thats on you.

    1. This is designed to the furtherance of the chartacterization of faggots as another class of oppressed and marginalized class.

It really isn't about preparing. The topic of prepping was selected as a vehicle to advance the notion of fags as special needs.

  6. I do see the idea behind it. People that identify with the letter community is extremely leftwing. People that are leftwing dont prepare for emergencies, they expect someone else to solve it for them if it happens while they sit back and demand how it is to be solved. In a real emergency, they will be a liability since they dont help much and will make things harder to solve. A lot of people that are prepared will realize that they cant help those people without risking their own families safety and will just leave them be. So they will need resources directed to them.

And it is a good excuse to divert help away from people with "wrong opinions" or "privilegies" and still claim it is for a good cause.

  7. The premise isn’t entirely wrong when dealing with people who operate solely on emotions…but Annapolis? “…when times are good, society gets soft.”

  8. P. T. Barnum approves. Sorta like buy a bag in the garden department labeled "100% Steer Manaure". Smells like regular old BS to me.

  9. Its easy to understand:
when an artificial class supported by an artificial ideology is so tenuous that it must be propped up by loud voices and forced adherence under penalty of incitement of hatred, including charges of 'hatecrime' designed to shut up the reasoned mind, portraying that same artifical class as weak and in need of special protect; conditions must be constructed as proof of that weakness and legitimizing the need of protection.
Voilá, the faggot prepper's guidebook and other bullshit.

The faggots borrowed heavily from the black cause leading to the 1964 Civil Rights Act. They must portray themselves as oppressed and helpless victims unable to combat that oppression without special considerations.

BTW: the blacks were (still are, maybe) that the fags did this. Doing so, the fays deligitimized the cause of the blacks.

But the fags must show that they are victims. It is their only claim to legitimacy. Of course it is a lie.

The really funny part is they portray themselves in need of special needs. special needs
    speshul needs

  10. This has NOTHING to do with actual preparedness and everything to do with propagandizing the feeble minded into believing the mentally ill rainbow morons are "special" and more deserving. For the most part the alphabet soup group have few if any actual real world skills. And as such should be left to their fate to help cull the herd. And he herd definitely needs thinning, a task mother nature is very deft at.

  12. "unsanitary conditions"

Their hole "lifestyle" rotates around unsanitary practises. Sodom and Gomorrah are at this time clean...and under the Dead Sea. That should be the symbol applied to that culture...burned, buried, desolate. Easily applied to any vocal adherents, and their ennablers.

The rainbow was instituted as a memorial of The Lord's promise to not again destroy the earth with a flood. Next time He will do it with fire. So it is delightfully ironic that these degenerates misuse it as their flag, daring The Almighty to finish the job.
