If was going to shelter under the overpass, best to abandon the car and climb the incline and get up under the bridge beams. <br /><br />Having said that, he could easily have driven away from the tornado. They don't move across the ground very fast, and you can generally outrun them. (Best place to shelter from a tornado is where the tornado ISN'T....I.E. "Don't be there") From the video, he could easily have outrun it. <br /><br />Three times I have been within a mile of those things. Twice, in a car, I simply drove out of their path. Cars can move fairly rapidly compared to a tornado.
