Doofus Of The Day #174

From The Smoking Gun:

Angered that her local McDonald's was out of Chicken McNuggets, a Florida woman called 911 three times to report the fast food "emergency."

Latreasa Goodman, 27, last Saturday called police to complain that a cashier--citing a McDonald's all sales are final policy--would not give her a refund. When cops responded to the restaurant, Goodman told them, "This is an emergency. If I would have known they didn't have McNuggets, I wouldn't have given my money, and now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don't want one." Goodman noted, "I called 911 because I couldn't get a refund, and I wanted my McNuggets," according to the below Fort Pierce Police Department report. That logic, however, did not keep cops from citing Goodman for misusing the 911 system.

Even after being issued a misdemeanor citation, Goodman contended, "this is an emergency, my McNuggets are an emergency."

And, you know, this doofus probably really does believe that her (missing) McNuggets really are an emergency! We've raised a entire bloody generation of Doofi like her! And this is where much of the so-called 'stimulus package' is going - to inner-city neighborhoods filled with people like this, who think they're entitled to our money, and their immediate self-gratification constitutes an emergency when denied to them!

*Sigh*

  1. Aren't we overlooking the other idiot in the story; if you don't have the product, the sale can't be final.

  2. ...and she's of the opinion that mcNuggets can actually be classed as a food item... says it all really!

  3. It takes a really bloated sense of self-importance to call 911 - several times - because of this fast food incident. This woman is a fool. It could have been worse. I can see this self-absorbed twit going back to her car and returning to the counter with a pistol to threaten or shoot a cashier.

  4. The customer is an idiot, it seems. On the other hand, I might have called our local PD non-emergency number in the same case. "They took my money, and refuse to give me the food OR the money now."

I have reached the #2 window in a drive through, after paying at #1, just to be told they didn't have what I just paid for. I said "I'll wait right here for my refund then" and shut my vehicle off. I got it, after the line stacked up. I can understand the frustration over the restaurants theft of the money, but it's not quite up to 911 levels.
