Now that's beautiful!

The Red Arrows, the aerobatic display team of the Royal Air Force, performed above Fowey, in Cornwall, yesterday. As they began their flypast, a rainbow appeared, making a spectacular visual backdrop for their performance. Here's just one picture of the flypast, courtesy of the Daily Mail, to give you an idea. Click it for a larger view.

There are more (and larger) pictures in the Daily Mail article on their performance. It's really worth clicking on the link to see them for yourself. Wonderful photography!

  1. Speaking of aircraft- While at the Arlington Wa EAA flyin this summer, I saw a Van's RV-(not sure of model), bright yellow, on floats-looking like a version of a supermarine Schieder cup racer from the 30's. Not often you see a sleek low-wing monoplane on floats.
