In the village of Dunchurch in Warwickshire, England, stands a statue of Lord John Douglas Montague Douglas Scott, a 19th-century landlord and Scottish Member of Parliament, and brother of the 5th Duke of Buccleugh.
It seems a local tradition has developed around the statue. According to the Coventry Telegraph:
The statue of nobleman Lord John Scott in the centre of Dunchurch has been transformed into cartoon character Homer Simpson for the traditional New Year jape.
Every Christmas for more than 30 years the statue of landowner Lord Scott has received a makeover but the mystery surrounding the culprits is as much of as a tradition as the action itself.
Over the years he has been a variety of popular film and television characters including Harry Potter, Shrek, Spiderman, and Bart Simpson.

Methinks His Lordship would not be amused!
