Must be a male bird!
Why else would he choose this particular hidey-hole?
Doesn't need to be male. Lovebirds are highly unfussy about the exact gender of their partners. I had two females when I was a kid and the only way you'd know it wasn't a male and female was the eggs were never fertilized...
Oh boy! I like the snuggle of the head at the end! LOL!
