Aviation history on the wing!

Here's a wonderful video clip of a replica Sopwith Camel from World War I flying alongside a Supermarine Spitfire from World War II.

That's enough to warm the cockles of aviation enthusiasts' hearts!

  1. There is an aviation group, affiliated with the EAA I believe, that flies full and 3/4 scale WW1 fighters. I have some photos from a fly-in a few years ago where they performed a mock air-battle---Fokkers against some Sopwiths and DeHavillands.

Send me your e-mail and I'll pass them along. Mine is on my blog.

  2. WOW- That was outstanding, and the old boy in the Spit was working his ass off, trying not to stall.
