I can only feel sympathy for a teenage driver in Conrad, Iowa . . . even though I also have to laugh at her predicament. She's hit five deer in less than a year of driving! Full details are in this news report.
At least she and her family can see the funny side:
Considering the seriousness of the five crashes, Kacee and her mother are keeping their sense of humor, referring to the teenager as a deer magnet.
Kacee’s mother jokingly said, “Let's find a 50 dollar car and put a steel plate in the front. That way, if she hits a deer it's just going to bounce off.”
There's more at the link.
I note that her pastor's wife advised her to pray to avoid further collisions. Does this mean that if, despite her prayers, she has another one, it'll be a benison of venison?

My wifes cousin had 8 KIA and 2 WIA with her Taurus in a year.
ReplyDeleteShe works 4-12 as a nurse in northern PA. When she finally decided to slow her speed down a tad the collisons dropped right off.

She needs a pickup truck, a good knife, and a big ice chest.
ReplyDeleteGet her a Ford F-150 or 250 and mount a steel deer guard on the front in place of the bumper. It will also take care of any small cars that get in the way.

yea its just a bunch of idiots driving too fast and not paying attention....everyone in this country seems to be driving excessively fast and for no reason, its like they feel the need to accelerate to the speed limit when they know 100 yards away their is another stop light
ReplyDeletei bet half of those deer collisions were her like backing in to a pole or something and blaming it on a deer
