There's a legal fight brewing in Switzerland over a condom manufacturer's attempts to cash in on the Harry Potter franchise. 20 Minutes Online reports (my translation):
The Erotic Magic X-chain from Pfäffikon distributes an exclusive Parisian brand, "Harry Popper", showing a condom waving a wand.
This has not escaped the notice of Warner Brothers Entertainment Inc., who have filed a legal complaint against Magic X AG. The manager of Magic X, Jan Brönnimann, responds that "Our product has nothing to do with Harry Potter." The Cantonal Court will decide in the next few days whether the magic of condoms may continue to be sold or not.
I don't know why Warner Bros. sued the distributor in Switzerland, rather than taking action against the French manufacturer. Different laws and legal systems, perhaps? Be that as it may, I think the illustration kinda proves Warner Bros. case - and gives the lie to Magic X's denial - right there, don't you?
