Lessons learned from horror books & movies

Patrick, writing over at Popehat, lists a number of lessons he's learned from American horror books and movies, including such gems as:

  • If it sleeps an ancient slumber, don’t wake it up.
  • If you have to climb up to the attic, don’t enter head first.
  • “Do not call up that which you cannot put down.”
  • When you meet a small, precocious child, beat it to death with a hammer. Just in case.

There are many more at the link. Good for a laugh in this Halloween season.
