I've seen this in a few places, and it's always labelled a "fail". I dunno - he got it all done very quickly, instead of being up there chipping away at it for hours. He fell a very short distance, onto some existing snow.
We normally just do the bottom 4 feet so we don't get an ice dam and let the rest melt. Five years in a house prone to ice dams and not a drop of water in the house.
He's lucky that only his pride was hurt.

ReplyDeleteMetal roofs are great for shedding snow in a hurry... Apparently they shed people too!
