  2. I've seen this in a few places, and it's always labelled a "fail". I dunno - he got it all done very quickly, instead of being up there chipping away at it for hours. He fell a very short distance, onto some existing snow.

  3. Metal roofs are great for shedding snow in a hurry... Apparently they shed people too!

  4. Ohh... Yep, he WAS lucky! As an OBTW, you NORMALLY start stuff like that from the top for just that reason...

  5. We normally just do the bottom 4 feet so we don't get an ice dam and let the rest melt. Five years in a house prone to ice dams and not a drop of water in the house.
