Who needs machines, anyway?


When you have to salt the roads, and the salt hopper's broken . . . in Russia, they find another way!

  1. They're actually spreading grit it looks like--it gets cold enough up there salt doesn't work well, and snows/ices often enough that salt would destroy the soil if they applied it that often.

  4. At least he didn't throw salt (or grit, or sand, or whatever it is) on the girl (at the 0:09 sec mark). Just for a moment, I thought he might. So did she, judging from her reaction.
