Post-tsunami progress in Japan

The Daily Mail has published a series of photographs showing various scenes in Japan as they were immediately after the disastrous earthquake and tsunami in March this year, and as they are today, three months later. It's a remarkable chronicle of how hard the Japanese are working to get their lives, and their towns and cities, back to normal. Here's just one example, showing a scene after the tsunami (above) and the same location three months later (below). I've reduced it in size to fit this blog.

The full-size version, plus many more before-and-after photographs, may be seen at the link. Highly recommended viewing.

  4. Something about a people that believe in self reliance versus a people that expects government to take care of them.
