Doofus Of The Day #492
This video clip was apparently shot in Egypt.
I daresay the driver was, too, after the dust settled, and the owner of the excavator found out that he'd dropped a building on top of it!
Look closely at the supports in the lower front of the building. They look cut to me, or at least badly damaged. Also, at the end of the clip, you can see the operator jumping out of his machine. Sure looked like he got crushed at the end. My thought is that he was doing some final digging around a planned demolition and vibrated the ground a bit too much. That would also explain all of the spectators.
Heh. I was thinking also that staying in the thing would have been safer, but I imagine there would have also been one mighty urge to take flight! I think I'd have voted for cutting via cable from a safe distance.

ReplyDeleteOperator was cutting supports. Video happens to capture last one. That's all.
ReplyDeleteHe would have been safer staying in the cage on the dozer.
