We've met Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson several times before on this blog. Here's a very interesting interview with him about the importance of continuing to fund and develop our space programs.
I wholeheartedly concur with his plea to continue funding such programs. I'd much rather see my tax dollars go to that than funding cellphones for welfare recipients!

Yeah, makes sense, but that would take money away from entitlements, AND most of the folks at NASA and supporting systems are NOT dems...
