This looks entertaining
It looks as if Disney is hoping to transmogrify its success with the Cars movie franchise into an animated aviation setting.
curiously the movies make more sense if you consider this grim idea. It's 500 years after say the Matrix or Skynet destroys the last human. The new generation of machines is based on machines that the humans used to use...given sentience and sent on their way as an experiment to see what happens.
Interesting... more so since there's no "Pixar" label attached to it (the studio responsible for the "Cars" series).
Given how Cars has proven to be a real winner in terms of merchandise sales (which it doesn't review as well as other Pixar movies, it sells trinkets amazingly well), I'm not surprised to see this. It might even be watchable (Cars and Cars 2 were... Cars 2 was even especially so for all the in-jokes they included for gearheads). But it's likely more of an attempt to keep that gravy train on the tracks and up to speed.

I will wait for it in DVD form and enjoy it wholeheartedly. Looks like fun.
