I was at a chiropractor's office this morning when the Indigo Girls' 'Closer To Fine' was played over the speakers. I first heard it back in South Africa at the height of the civil unrest there. It was a very uneasy counterpoint to a time when no-one knew whether they'd survive from day to day (or whether the country itself would, for that matter). The song spoke to my uncertainty, if I can put it that way.
It's been a long time since then . . . but I still remember, and enjoy, the song.
Lots of memories there . . .
Peter
