That's the title of this video clip from Controlled Demolition, Inc. It's about ten minutes of explosive demolition of all sorts of structures, set to music. Some is at normal speed, some is in slow motion - some is even in reverse, showing buildings magically re-constructing themselves out of a cloud of smoke and dust! I found it strangely fascinating. Try it in full-screen mode.
Interesting perspective.

Very cool!
ReplyDeletePeter, any comment on the controversy rising up around the Wounded Warrior Project? I'd love to see your thoughts...

Sad to say, I lost my fascination for demolition after watching the towers come down. I mean no slur opon those who still enjoy it--I wish I did.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, and safe!
ReplyDeleteNice bit of engineering that; though I have to say (as a perennially biased medievalist), I am rather glad various pre-20th century groups in Europe didn't have access to quality explosives. If they'd had them, we wouldn't have most of the cathedrals and castles.
ReplyDeleteIncredibly beautiful. I don't think these explosives were used in quite the same way in Germany and Britain during WWII. Shudder.
ReplyDeleteFunny how much it looks just like how the towers fell. Almost makes ya think that the controlled demo guys use airplanes to bring down tall buildings.
