In comments from her readers on Sarah Hoyt's latest blog article, a movie was mentioned as being among the worst ever made. I couldn't resist looking for more information about it, including its trailer. I couldn't figure out whether to be appalled or amused! On balance, though, I think it's so bad it's funny. It's 'The Thing With Two Heads'.
Here's the trailer.
(Of course, Rosey Grier's highly varied career took him to even stranger places with the publication of this (in)famous book . . . )
Through a link at a review of the above movie, I was led to a second, equally awful offering. This one's 'Shark In Venice'. Wikipedia reports that 'According to several websites, the plot of the film puts it into contention for being the worst movie of all time.'
Here's the trailer.
How about it, readers? Let's hear your nominations for World's Worst Movie(s) in Comments. If you can include a link to the trailer, or an article about it, that would be even better.

The original Casino Royale: James Bond, license to suck.

Don in Oregon beat me to it.

go, do you mean the TV special with CIA agent "Jimmy Bond"? Or the sloppy farce with 5 directors? Because, while I agree that the latter is a bad film, there's a definite charm to David Niven as Sir James Bond, 007, retired, saying "It's depressing that the term Secret Agent has become synonymous with Sex Maniac".
ReplyDeleteMy nomination? THE SUM OF ALL FEARS; for changing the Arab plotters of the book to Neo-Nazis for no very good reason that I could see, and for killing a promising franchise deader than a doornail.

"The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T"
ReplyDeleteSchofeld: Yes, that's the one. Sure, it's campy and could even be misconstrued as funny, and yes, it ia fun to watch- which, in my mind, is the acid test. Is it so bad it comes around to good again from another direction? That's it.

ReplyDeleteOnly movie I ever walked out on.

Red Sonya
ReplyDeleteSitting in the theater lobby was more entertaining.
*gigglesSNORT* As a hardcore MSTie I've got to go with either "The Castle of Fu Manchu" or "Manos: The Hands of Fate".
ReplyDeleteRunner up is Coleman Francis' Coffee Trilogy* of "Skydivers", "Beast of Yucca Flats", and "Red Zone Cuba"
*"Coffee...I like coffee."

The only way to watch this movie is to give it the MST3K treatment. It's impossible to take seriously.
Sharkboy and LavaGirl.
ReplyDeleteI won't post links because it is just too disturbing to the sanity.
Basically, Rodriguez had made too much money, and no one could tell him no when he thought it'd be a wonderful idea to make his 7 year old's story into a movie without any editing.
To paraphrase Adams, my major intestines wanted to crawl through my neck and throttle my brains to stop the pain of Sharkboy and Lavagirl.
