Project Morpheus reaches for the skies

Congratulations to the Project Morpheus team.  Their prototype made its latest test flight at the Kennedy Space Center this week, launching from a purpose-built pad, then navigating to a landing on a simulated boulder-strewn lunar-type surface, including changing its planned landing spot to 'avoid obstacles' as part of the test.  I recommend watching the video in full-screen mode.

That's quite an achievement.  If the project works as planned, and the vehicle can be refueled using elements found on the Moon or other planets, it may offer a unique cargo delivery system and a way to return samples to a spaceship in orbit.
