This has to be one of the silliest fight scenes I've ever watched. It's so bad it's actually funny. I've no idea what movie it's from, except that it's obviously Bollywood.
I was waiting for him to do the moonwalk while wielding his telephone nunchuks . . .

ROTF, he never touched a one of them... and they NEVER threw a punch! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat's just pure, boiled, distilled AWESOME! I laughed so hard I may need to go change my underwear.
ReplyDeleteThe "disassemble my dial phones in the middle of a fight and make makeshift nunchuks out of them was the icing on the cake. That, and throwing them at the last, menacing, dangerous thug. :-)

I lived in Hong Kong in the late 70's - early 80's, and many times after finishing work about 11pm, I would put on the chinese t.v. channel, Pearl I think, and watch movies such as this, Run Run Shaw studios were notable in their output of these 'gems'.
ReplyDeleteOne of the more memorable was about a chinese type of Popeye, with a sidekick, vanquishing villians they encounter in their travels.
The Popeye character was a clone of the original, BUT, his forearms were grotesquely 'ballooned', immensely strong and near impervious to physical damage by whatever instrument.
The gymnastics were something to behold, one example, they both did a symmetrical backwards roll on the ground, then jumped, still backwards, up a rock face about 15-20ft high, this looked suspiciously like a stunt reversed, which it so clearly was.
So much for CGI!.
All good fun.
