Crossing the road in Iran


Clearly, having faith in the hereafter has its uses!  I lost count of the number of tickets that would have been issued in the USA within the first 30 seconds . . .

  1. As I saw on a daily basis during my two years working in Iran, "Inshallah" is at least as much a foundational societal structural principle as it is moral injunction.

    That and a firm conviction in the protective qualities inherent to a chador.
