They're nuts!

Last month two pilots for the Red Bull stunt aviation team decided to fly through a hangar, in formation.  I recommend watching the result in full-screen mode . . . while holding your breath!

What can one say except, "They're nuts!"?

  2. Paul Bonhomme took me up in his personal two-seater plane for some stunt flying over the English countryside in 2000, ( he was a friend at the time but we lost contact over the years.) My greatest achievement was not losing my lunch.

  3. That right there is the definition of "pucker factor."

  4. OldNFO, they may very well under normal circumstances but I suspect that they just might have 'retracted' a wee bit for that particular maneuver................;-)

  5. This is beautiful. Personally, I get air/seasick, but I love looking at these videos. Thank you.

  7. Didn't I see this too many decades ago with one plane in Mad, Mad World?

  8. The interesting part is, once you're in the hangar, you actually have to deal with a pressure wave coming off the walls and floors. The air can't get out of the way fast enough.

  9. Can't fool me. Lazy gits just didn't want to take their turn sweeping and dusting the hangar space.

  10. The first one I can recall (I suspect there were others doing this in the early days of flying, '20-30's) was the Coors Silver Bullet micro-jet BD-5J for the James Bond movie "Octopussy" with Rodger Moore.
