Today's prize goes to the Kuwaiti crew of a T-72 tank at the Russian "International Tank Biathlon Championship", which began a few days ago.
In the video clip below, the first two tanks come around a sharp corner, sliding on the dirt, before lining up to negotiate a water obstacle. The third tank, driven by the Kuwaiti crew, makes its appearance at about the 1m. 55sec. mark, and slides a little too enthusiastically. Watch in full-screen mode to catch all the action.
If you ever wanted to know the Russian for "That's going on YouTube!", now you do.

There's a lesson here: I think it's that with dirt and enough power, you can drift a tank.
ReplyDeleteSee what happens when you don't lean into the turn.
ReplyDeleteOK, I want one of those now.
ReplyDeleteThey rolled a tank. On level ground. I begin to understand Israel's survival...
ReplyDeleteMy goodness ... these comments alone are priceless! Drift a tank, Israel's survival ... etc :-)
ReplyDeleteYou haven't lived until you have driven an M-1 on ice.
ReplyDelete"Drifting" an M60A1 was a game we played back when I was an instructor at Fort Knox.
