I get airsick just looking at it . . .


Some very bumpy crosswind conditions at Madeira's Funchal Airport a few weeks ago.  (Thanks to its winds and surrounding mountains, the airport is ranked ninth most dangerous in the world.)





Looking at those planes shaking and shuddering in mid-air, it must have been pretty uncomfortable for all concerned.

    Gad....

    I found myself holding my breath watching the last few yards of that first landing in the video, until I realized where I was, which was NOT there.

    Those are some gutsy pilots.
