It's all a matter of scale

Yeah, you don't grasp the sheer size of that carcass until you realize that the adult bear standing on the whale's head is at least twice the bulk of a human being!  I reckon those bears will be well fed for several days . . . after all, they don't mind if their meals are a bit over-ripe.
