Today's award goes to a bunch of hysterical, pants-wetting, sissified social justice warriors at Edgewood College in Wisconsin.
The post-it-note says "Suck it up, pussies!" Whoever wrote it also drew a winking, tongue-out smiley face...
. . .
Students had been invited to express their feelings about the election by writing them on post-it-notes and placing them on a designated table. The post-it-note in question appeared in the window of the Office of Student Diversity and Inclusion instead, according to Campus Reform.
College Vice President Tony Chambers sent a letter to campus condemning this "act of cowardly hatred" and "intimidation." He wrote:
A group of cross-functional college staff representing campus security, student conduct, human resources, Title IX enforcement, and diversity and inclusion measures convened Tuesday morning to discuss how to address the hateful message. This group determined that the message constituted a Hate Crime…College officials informed the Madison police, and now the cops are investigating. They are investigating a post-it-note. With a non-threatening message and a smiley face on it. After inviting students to express their feelings via post-it-note.
That's hate for you, I guess.
There's more at the link.
Ye Gods and little fishes . . . hysterical over-reaction, anyone? I wonder what they'd do with a real hate note?
Peter
That's straight out of today's Political Correctness speech. They want "comments", with the unspoken but understood subtext that it'll be "approved" speech. If it's unapproved, SJW heads will explode, and there will be a witch hunt to identify the person(s) making the "unapproved comment".
ReplyDeleteI think they are at steps 2 & 3 of the SJW attack sequence. Depending on whether they can identify the person or not, we'll see if Edgewood gets to the Show Trials & Victory Parade, or not.
---------
As an aside, I find it interesting that Politically Correct speech came from the Communists - Remember that this was a term designed by those who wanted thought control – by controlling the manner of expression and lexicon of words, a person’s thoughts would then become “politically correct.”
---------
and today's SJWs are using this method to control everyone else, so only Politically Correct thoughts & speech are allowed & expressed.

Intimidation? The threat being what?
ReplyDeleteI suspect (hope) that the Madison police recognized that taking the note and saying that it'll be investigated was a far easier path than telling these snowflakes, "no," and openly questioning their sanity.
After all, since words matter, saying you will/are/have investigated must be the same as an actual investigation. Maybe they can use an entire 8"x11" piece of paper for the report to give it added weight.
Sometimes I wish I were still in college. Sending these snowflakes into a full flop-&-twitch would be so easy. The practical jokes I could pull with a post-it note or even a handful of ammo would be endless.
ReplyDeleteHate Crime? Doesn't there first have to be a crime involved before a determination can be made that it was motivated by hate? What's the crime here? Harassment because it was placed in the non-approved area? It certainly isn't criminal mischief/vandalism as there was no damage. This is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how it gets accomplished but there needs to be some drastic reform of so-called higher education. Ending govt loan guarantees and grants, abolishing title IX, ending sports programs and ending tenure might be a start. These places are out of control brainwashing facilities rotten to their core. For the love of God don't send your daughter to one. Yeah the academic twisting of their brains is bad enough but what goes on in "campus life" is worse than you can imagine. I mean even as a testosterone filled 18 or 20 year old guy you step back at times and shake your head at the sheer depravity of it all. Some well meaning family is spending their savings, saddling their daughter with a mountain of crippling un-dischargable debt for their daughter's brain to be warped and her body defiled and used as a group receptacle. Oh but we're sending her to bible college! Yeah keep telling yourself that mom and dad.
ReplyDeleteMany years ago, about 1970-ish, I read a book titled 'This Perfect Day', by Ira Levin.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to see our present, and potential future, as it was predicted in the past, by this Author, get the book, read it, think about it, then read it again.
No further comment.
I wonder how these illustrious authorities would nowadays handle a student riot or protest situation of the same magnitude as those of the '60s and '70s.
