Go away!
An elephant enjoying himself in the Chobe River lets tourists know, in no uncertain terms, that they're too close and need to go away.
I'm surprised everyone stayed so calm. And that none of those big, heavy cameras went into the water. Or that the tusker didn't reach into the boat with his trunk and drag some screaming tourist off, and then skewer them on one of his tusks.
"I have a yard-long camera lens that would buy a small car, but I trust my safety to someone piloting a boat who probably didn't graduate middle school, and who pulls within 10 feet of the largest land mammal on the planet, endangering everyone on board."

ReplyDeleteThey had these very expensive cameras with very long and very expensive telephoto lenses...
ReplyDeleteWHY DID THEY HAVE TO GET SO FRIGGING CLOSE?
[panting at the stupid]
Really, no one sounded really concerned...
ReplyDeleteGood thing they caught him in a good mood.
