Keeping cool in an Alaskan heat wave

With Anchorage sweltering in 90°+ temperatures last week, this moose found a good way to keep cool.

Miss D. tells me that's not uncommon behavior in that part of the world.  The fun starts when you want to go outside to shut off the sprinkler . . . and the moose objects.

  1. "There is a moose in the front yards"
    "What it is doing?"
    "Whatever he heck it wants."

  2. You just need a flying squirrel to direct him away.

  3. Russian spies (Boris, Natasha and Fearless Leader) have a demonstrated historical Capacity to make a moose move, but it could be seen as collusion in some quarters.

If you gave him a magician's hat, he could pull a rabbit out and amuse himself for hours...

  5. I wonder, is a water sprinkler counted as 'setting a bait' for big game?

  6. I have friends in the Alaskan bush who would regard that as so much free meat.
