Flushed with (varying) success

Following my question a couple of days ago, a reader e-mailed me the link to this video clip.  It's kinda fun.

I'm not going to test our new toilet (whatever it turns out to be) quite as thoroughly, but it's nice to know what will (and won't) work (sometimes).

  1. Coat the toilet with "spot less" porcelain coating. Makes everything just slide in down.

  2. Peter,
you never did post the reason for looking for a new toilet.

Considering the cost of new ones, replacing parts is usually the way to go, unless the body or tank has been damaged. Tank lids often are available from new or used sources. That's not a precision fit, generally, so "close enough" can be adequate.
