I have a "Home Protected By High-Speed Wireless Device" decal with a symbol of a revolver on my front and back doors. There is no signage about the alarm system. If you put up alarm system signs that tells home invaders what type of system you have, they'll know how to defeat it.
"If you put up alarm system signs..." Yeah, there's that. I'm gradually putting together a mad scientist sort of security system, but I can't seem to find appropriate signage. Calls for something along the lines of "Warning: mad scientist" and a picture of a rampaging giant robot, maybe. (A perimeter alert system that could tell the difference between a deer and an angry mob with pitchforks and torches would be so useful at times.)
The "pre-annoyed" meme hit a little to close to home for comfort!

As to the mad scientist, a friend of mine had one that said "trespassers will be experimented upon".

Had a landlord one time whose door sign just said "Beware of Pet Snake".
