The idle musings of a former military man, former computer geek, medically retired pastor and now full-time writer. Heh
In the light of my earlier post this morning about education, this cartoon tickled my funny-bone. Click the image to be taken to a larger version at the "Pearls Before Swine" Web page.
I don't know where Stephan Pastis got his gifts of inspired punnery and barbed wit, but IMHO he's one of the best cartoonists out there today. I visit "Pearls Before Swine" every day for a dose of laughter.

ReplyDeleteMa liked the first two books of the Ames Archives... but is Very Traditional regarding books ("paper!"). Are or will the other books of the Ames series be available in 'dead tree' format?
Thank you.

He probably got away with it a lot, but when he wrote our Evals, I had to object- strongly- his giving 3.0's across the board and saying we were "lackadaisical" in our job performance. A dictionary was used and our crews evals were rewritten (we also got a Meritorious Unit Citation for the Power Distribution rehab on the Rota, Spain Naval base).
...Lackadaisical........
Few beat the Indian Hills Community Center (Indian Hills, Colorado) for punniness.
