The kookaburra is a well-known bird in Australia. It's carnivorous, and has become known for its habit of stealing meat off plates at barbecues. That behavior extends to meat in fingers as well, as an Australian found out to his cost the other day.
Cheeky little so-and-so! On the other hand, it's the bird's natural habitat, so if humans are fool enough to hold up food where it can see them . . .
