Wizards. Alcohol. Now ya got me humming Mussorgsky. I hadn't encountered "kinetic disassembly" before; always thought it was "rapid unscheduled disassembly". Another fine lot this week! And... is there anything in particular we should chant while opening the NecroOmnicron? Klaatu brought a necktie or whatever?
I don't know whether to be disappointed or pleased that the Latin teacher has rediscovered the ancient art of rote memorization and verb chants that were standard pedagogical techniques when I learned Latin.

For a real treat try to find a performance of the original (piano) version of "Pictures at an Exhibition".
ReplyDeleteThe orchestral version sounds French. The orginal piano is Russian, especially the final movement.
