A report on Substack claims that evidence has been found to show how the 2020 elections were stolen in one county - without election officials being aware that it was happening.
A new report from two cybersecurity experts who have reviewed all the election data from Mesa County, Colorado shows that a second and illegal database was secretly installed and used to manipulate votes in the 2020 election.
The report — officially called Mesa County Colorado Voting Systems Report #3 — was written by experts who analyzed all the data from Mesa County’s election server, which was saved before the Colorado Secretary of State and the electronic voting machine company “overwrote” and wiped away the contents of the server’s hard drive.
The report describes exactly how the electronic voting machines were used to change votes in the 2020 election — without election officials being aware of any fraud.
. . .
The Mesa County voting system server should have had three databases in its election project for each election. But in Mesa County’s system, two additional databases were found for two separate elections. The existence of those additional databases, and the movement of ballot records between them, breaking the chain of evidence needed for ballot and vote authentication is proof of voting system non-compliance with Federal Voting System Standards mandatory under Colorado law, and proof of manipulation. This is akin to having two sets of accounting records in a business, to hide fraudulent and illegal financial transactions.
. . .
Once ballot images and records were moved, deleted, manipulated, and re-copied, the chain of evidence was broken. Digital files required to verify ballot image authenticity simply did not exist in the new databases. It makes it impossible to verify the authenticity of so many ballot records. Now election results cannot be determined from the voting system records.
There's more at the link.
I think the most important aspect of this incident may not be confined to Mesa County, or even to Colorado. If this pattern can be established for all Dominion voting machines, it means they can all be investigated before and after any election - provided they're secured against unauthorized access - and the results they provide can be checked against the additional databases. If all of them display the same patterns as observed in Mesa County, it'll be the clearest possible proof of electoral fraud.
In that light, I was intrigued to read about a possible new voting technology - or, rather, the application of outside technology - that might render almost all electoral fraud impractical.
Redo Voting is a hybrid of existing secure document technology used by state lotteries, combined with government-level encryption. The result is a voting system that is paper-based, but uses a web browser for data entry. A great example of this is your state’s lottery program. 45 states currently have a state-wide lottery, and because of the massive amounts of money that pass through that system the security is the best available this side of military encryption. If that were “hackable,” billions would be stolen on a regular basis; but it does not happen. We use the same technology and processes.
Again, more at the link, and well worth reading. If this technology is as foolproof as its developers claim, it might make our elections a great deal more secure and trustworthy. It would certainly bypass voting tabulation machines and systems that might be "hacked".
I'll be interested to see who's in favor of this new technology, and who's opposed to it. The latter may potentially be the beneficiaries of electoral fraud under the present system, and presumably won't want to lose that advantage.

Look at Borepatch's take on the REDO voting thing.
ReplyDeleteHaving used the internet for a minute or 2, I have very strong doubts about anthing that claims to be secure and is connected to the internet. If somebody wants it bad enough, plan it being had.

Vote in person on election day only. Paper ballots, counted by hand.
ReplyDeleteVoter ID required, USA citizens only.
I agree with all that, but then you still have to trust the people doing the counting.
Deletethe claims for redo voting making remote voting perfectly secure are nonsense.
ReplyDeleteEven if there is some magical technology that can ensure that a person actually is the one to vote in their name and that the vote cannot be tampered with forever more, that doesn't address the fundamental problem of remote voting, namely that it cannot be guaranteed to be private. When you are allowed to vote outside of the enclosed ballot box, there is no way to prevent anyone else from watching how you vote and punishing you if you vote incorrectly (and it doesn't matter if it's 'big evil company goons standing over you with guns' or 'heroic community organizers who will reward you if you vote the right way')
In fact, any digital technology that makes votes tamper proof and traceable can also be used to track how any individual voted even if the vote is cast in a secure setting.
There MUST be a clean break at some point where the results of the vote have no way to trace who cast the vote, and at that point there is a possibility for fraud to happen.

Bottom line is, if there is electronics involved, the output can be screwed with. Not acceptable.
ReplyDeleteThe key to election security is the lack of trust involved. You don't trust any one party to count the votes correctly, vote counting involves people from both (or all) sides, who have an interest in preventing the others who are counting the votes from cheating.
ReplyDeleteWhen this breaks down, it doesn't matter if you have electronics involved or not.
It is possible to have electronics involved and still not trust them. Scantron-style ballots that are counted by electronics are a perfect example, because you have the paper ballots and can count them, you don't have to blindly trust the electronics, you can validate the ballots manually (and/or count them with different electronics)
Online voting is a persistently bad idea

"But here's the secret that breaks the naive Mandarin who cannot conceive of the nature of reality that good traders work to possess: if the lottery is valuable enough, it gets rigged. I don't mean that governments might rig lotteries—I mean that they inevitably do so whenever they can get away with it. If you're not cynical enough to understand the magnetic nature of corruption to such opportunity, you're better off not trading. There is a reason that so many day traders go broke. (...)

"How does a former math teacher in Texas keep winning the lottery? Joan Ginther has hit four Texas Lottery jackpots and raked in $21 million since 1993 ($5.5 million, half of the Texas Lottery jackpot, that first time). The last time she won was two years ago ($3 million prize from a scratch ticket). And then two years before that ($2 million scratch ticket again). And now $10 million in the $140 million Extreme Payout with a scratch ticket (errr ... again).

Still believe their claims about "best available security"?
Absolutely nothing will come of this.
ReplyDeleteI'll not waste my time voting in any election other than local ones.
ReplyDeleteWe essentially had a coup- d'état in 2020 that was allowed to stand. So the Dems can run any leftist candidate they want, no matter how extreme, because they know s/he/it will "win." They will have had 4 years to perfect their voting fraud.
And???
ReplyDeleteSorry, not to be snarky, but what makes this so much more actionable than all the other
evidence of election fraud? Are we looking for that perfect piece of evidence that will
make the democrats roll over and admit their guilt, make the mainstream media suddenly
start telling the truth, and make their flock of sheep suddenly sprout common sense?
To an impartial, moderately intelligent individual, the
evidence of election fraud has always been obvious, yet nothing has happened. Too many key
people have been bought and paid for (judges, governors, media moguls, etc.).
I don't know if the patriots can win this one.
And IMO, the stink of Sulphur (brimstone) is getting pretty rank. Make of that what you will.
@bob, opting to not vote because you think the other side is cheating just means that they don't need to cheat (or at least, don't need to cheat as much)
ReplyDeleteVote, get others to vote, the more they need to cheat, the more upset people will be and eventually they will get upset enough to end the cheating.
@unknown,
ReplyDeleteWe have tried the methods you suggest and up to 2020t they mostly worked- most recently in 2016 , when I and millions of others voted not for Trump, but to keep Hillary out of office.
However the 2020 election was the seminal event in the destruction of the American system. And as Steven G reminded us, the corruption in our system is a disease - it has progressed past the point where it cannot be reversed; America is terminal and we are seeing its death throes.
No nation in world history has ever voted its way out of tyranny, and neither will we. Our problem and our ultimate end has been said much better than I could, by these men:
“A Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.” - John Adams
"It is only when the people become ignorant and corrupt, when they degenerate into a populace, that they are incapable of exercising their sovereignty. Usurpation is then an easy attainment, and a usurper soon found. The people themselves become the willing instruments of their own debasement and ruin."
--James Monroe
“Good government generally begins in the family, and if the once moral character of a people degenerates; their political character must soon follow.” ― Elias Boudinot
"The power of government can only be kept within its constituted bounds by the display of a power equal to itself, the collected sentiment of the people.” -- Benjamin Franklin Bache, 1794
"To learn who rules you, find out who you can't criticize." --Voltaire
"Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear." — Harry S. Truman
“You need only reflect that one of the best ways to get yourself a reputation as a dangerous citizen these days is to go about repeating the very phrases which our founding fathers used in their struggle for independence.” --Charles Austin Beard
“Every election is a sort of advance auction sale of stolen goods.” -- H.L. Mencken
“If voting made any difference, they wouldn't let us do it.” ― Mark Twain
even the horrid cheating in the 2020 election only ended up giving the Democrats power because too many people in Georgia felt the way that you do and stayed home during the Senate runoff election. If they had lost even one of those seats the last year would have been very different (not good, but not as bad)
ReplyDeletethe 2016 election caused the media to drop their pretense of being even and fair, making their bias obvious to many more people.
the 2020 election did the same for election fraud.
We are not yet under Tyranny, we are close, but not quite there yet. The Democrats know this, and expect to lose power in the midterm elections. They are pushing to try and change as much as possible before that, but are running into problems getting everyone on their side to go along (except in the house, I really wonder what bribery material Pelosi has on people)
But if people stay home in the next couple of elections and let the Democrats win 'because they are going to cheat anyway', then with all the attention on spotting and preventing cheating, they will just get more power. If they are forced to cheat again (especially in stupid ways like 2020) it will make it more likely that they get caught and punished (especially if they can't cheat quite enough this time, they almost didn't last time)
