An open letter to FBI agents and all Federal law enforcement personnel

I'm no fan of Steve Bannon, but last night he put the FBI raid on President Trump's residence in Florida in perspective.

They’ve weaponized the Justice Department – this had to be approved, going up to the White House to be approved. Absolutely. Anybody saying it didn’t is a liar. This had to go up through the chain of command, through Merrick Garland to Ron Klain, at least [FBI Director Christopher] Wray and these guys.  This is about pure power politics. They’re scared to death about Trump. They’re absolutely petrified terrified that he’ll announce in a couple of weeks, win the Republican nomination and win the White House.

We need a full investigation, cutting off appropriations to the FBI to get to the bottom of this, okay? This is going to continue on. The FBI right now is the Gestapo. The FBI is the Gestapo, whether it’s out in Colorado, putting a gold star mother in chains, Peter Navarro in chains. It's absolutely obscene. This is insanity. We need to fight fire with fire and the way to do that is to win elections, win them overwhelmingly and then use the appropriations process to choke down the FBI and choke down the Justice Department and get to the bottom of who approved this. This is so outrageous it needs to be investigated.

Agreed.

Dear FBI agents and all other Federal law enforcement personnel:  When you entered Federal employment, you took the oath of office and made this declaration.

I [name] do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.

I took that same oath of office as a Chaplain with the Bureau of Prisons in the Department of Justice.  I regarded it then, and still do, as binding on my conscience:  and as far as I'm concerned, it has no expiration date.  A number of my friends and acquaintances can say the same.

As for you?  If you participated in, or helped plan the raid on President Trump;  or if you approve of or condone it;  or if you regard political stunts like that as justifiable;  then I believe you have just betrayed your oath of office, and your country.  There are some who may go further.  They may believe that you have now become a "domestic enemy" of the Constitution.  Don't be surprised if Americans who are still faithful to their Constitution treat you accordingly.

I'm also hearing from current and former colleagues in the Department of Justice about their outrage at the situation.  Many have long since resigned or retired.  Others are now considering it.  Still others are wondering whether they can help "manage the damage" from within.  I don't know whether that's possible without a wholesale dismissal of the entire middle- and upper-management echelons of FBI leadership, without exception, and perhaps even the disbanding of the agency as a whole:  but I wish them the best of luck.

I believe we have never been closer to the outbreak of Civil War 2.0 than we are right now.  May God prevent it, if that's still possible.

Peter

EDITED TO ADD:  "Jackboots are very real, and they are back in action wearing FBI logos on their shirts."

  1. After this moment, you're either with the FBI, or against them.

  2. My cynical thoughts:

TPTB are trying to provoke violence so they can declare an emergency before the mid-term elections which they are planning to rig.

  3. Divermedic states that President Trump & family needs to leave our country, before he is arrested & imprisoned. When that happens, we will have entered the crisis phase of our government's collapse, and begun the transition to dictatorship.

At that point, they will begin rounding up all other 'enemies of the state' to insure there is no opposition to their Communist rule. This is something I had never thought to see in the US, when I was growing up. The USSR was always 'over there' and we wouldn't lose our freedoms like they did.

  4. Whether he flees or is imprisoned, it doesn't matter. Once this administration is emboldened to the point that they feel comfortable enough in power to begin eliminating political rivals, the crisis phase has begun.
The Democrats have a narrow window. You can't pretend to be legitimately elected while simultaneously rigging elections forever. Sooner or later, enough people are aware of your scam and will oppose you. You have to seize power and consolidate it, or your plan will fail. That is where the Democrats are now. The window is closing. They can maybe pull off one more steal (this year) before people are pissed enough to stop them.
If it's going to happen, it will be some time within the next 24 months. The Biden administration is running against the clock.

  6. Yet again I feel compelled to post this historical quote:

"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling in terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? [...] The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!"

  7. Or, maybe Trump broke the law. Again.

  8. @ Ronald. LOL. So you are saying that a violation of the Presidential Records Act, a law that has never before been used to raid a former President's residence, is the basis for entering a former President's home and torch open his safe?

    Team politics much?

And, when someone starts off with "or, maybe...." it's generally a sign that the poster is a snarky *******.

  13. @ Ronald: 1 You said it was because DJT broke the law. Your words.
2 The FBI is claiming (unofficially) that it was because of the Presidential Records Act.
3 This act has never been used before to raid a former president's residence. Fact.
4 The DOJ has ignored law violations of former WH occupants. See HRC, GW, and Hunter Biden for more details.
5 Therefore, the FBI and DOJ are being used as a political tool, thereby weaponizing the DOJ.
6 You, through your statement in #1, appear to be excusing this behavior.
7 Therefore, you are acting like a partisan political player.

  14. I do believe we are heading to CW2 for two reasons: 1) election tampering seen in the primaries will continue into the midterms and people have had enough; 2) they cannot stop Trump via harassing FBI/Judges I think they will assassinate him.

  16. I maintain that TPTB have until the midterm elections to pull every crazy stunt that they can dream up. It would appear that this is in fact happening. But this only ends in a more spectacular loss unless they get a turning point moment. While there is strong reason to believe that starting a hot civil war would work, there is a quieter alternative. That is the martyring of old Joe in October. That would allow the D-people to spin around and point the finger of blame at a dead man, all the while claiming that "it's all better now, it was Joe's fault, vote for us". They pulled a similar (but not identical) stunt with Ted Kennedy's corpse to finish ramming through Obamacare.

  17. “You said it was because DJT broke the law. Your words”.

    Well, no.

I said; “Or, maybe Trump broke the law”.

I don’t default to the knee jerk conclusion that Trump is the victim nor do I declare he’s guilty.

Trump, love him or hate him, was an unprecedented President on multiple levels. The records act is a mere 36 years old.

But I do agree that such an action is unprecedented so it’s hard to imagine that someone didn’t feel they “had the goods”.

My question would be, what if Trump is guilty beyond a doubt of taking classified documents?

    1. It's a misdemeanor, not a felony! The FBI raided his home for the possibility of committing a misdemeanor. WHAT??!! Time for the real patriots to stand up for their country before it's totally lost. Better hurry. There's little time left.

  21. I honestly believe that at this point the FBI needs to be disbanded and outlawed.
    Period.

Sooner or later they were always going to become jackbooted thugs.
I -think- the founding fathers had something to say about such organizations, but I can't recall right now. However these organizations are ALWAYS prone to political abuse, and it started back with Hoover who gave Organized Crime (Mafia) a pass to do whatever they wanted.

  22. I am 6 months shy of turning 70 years old. I miss the America that I grew up in. It was not perfect but I remember that my parents house had a front door lock that never worked and even when we left for a weeks vacation to stay at a rented cottage on the lake the house remained unlocked. No one ever came in and stole anything. I remember once we came home from visiting my uncle and there was a note next to the telephone by the front door. It said "I'm so sorry for coming into your house when you were not home, but there was a car accident and I had to call for help. My name is **** **** and my home phone number is ***-****.

That America has long been dead and gone. It is not coming back. The republic is lost and no red surge come the mid terms will resuscitate it. The systems that keep a country running and the bonds that hold a people together are broken and will not be repaired. There will be no coming together between the blue and red in this country.

Will there be open civil war with fighting in the streets? Unlikely but we most likely will enter a period very much like the "troubles"in Ireland and they lasted for nigh on 30 years.

How did we get here? Far too many were content to just be left alone. All they wanted was to make a living, pay their "fair" share and spend time with their families. "Compromise" was easy when it was incremental and the progs took full advantage while playing the long game over the past 70 years or more. Trouble is it was never really compromise because each time only one side conceded any ground. Whose to blame? "I have met the enemy and it is us!"

What does the future? Balkanization is the most likely outcome, but before that happens expect China to seize Taiwan and watch the Pacific go up in flames. After that perhaps a new Red Dawn but only after we have been sent back to the late 1890's courtesy of targeted EMP strikes. We will not get hit with conventional nukes if at all possible so the great natural resources of this country can be harvested after an occupation.

"Jesus come back soon" indeed. But remember before that happens billions of people will perish during the seven year apocalypse. There are indeed troubles ahead. Wolverines!

  24. Kevin, I as well have faith in God and trust in His promise of salvation. As Christ said, "No one comes to the Father except through Me". Before there is a great awakening, there will be a great unraveling. Indeed during the darkest of times there will be a time to bring that Light to many if they are willing to open their eyes and their hearts to that promise.

That doesn't change the fact that we are all in for troubled times.

  25. Friends, I won't permit or condone comments that openly call for violence. We have enough hotheads without encouraging more of them! While we can, let us by all means try to resolve things as peacefully as possible. If/when that's no longer possible, may God have mercy on us all. We're going to need it.

  26. MNV, China has many problems of their own with a real estate crisis, energy and food shortages. They have planned on invading taiwan to reclaim what they see as their's no matter what. Pelosi is just one of many congress critters to visit in the last year or so. China is using that as provocation to begin the threat of annexation of Taiwan. A good diversion and it allows them to rally the population behind Xi and the CCP and take their minds off troubles on the home front.

Here the powers that be will not be so lucky as the deplorables will not rally to fight for Taiwan and more than they did for Ukraine. The elites and the military industrial complex however are a different story. What better way to depopulate the planet than pandemics, famine and war.

  27. I took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, every word of it. That is the problem we face. There aren't words needlessly added, nor misunderstood by those who wrote the document on our behest. Most do not comprehend our rule of law, so to suggest that elections are the solution is to ignore the obvious. No one is abiding by the law. The Constitution provides limited delegated authorities, and disabilities. There is no authority to create agencies such as the FBI. In fact, Article I, § 8, Cl. 15 prohibits the creation of any agency usurping the power "to execute the Laws of the Union" that is already in the hands of the Institution of the People.
If "We", you and I abided by the law, most of what we are experiencing would not be taking place. This is a nation predicated on the proposition that the people are sovereign, and as such we are not subject to the law as we are the author and source. Not my opinion, but rather the ruling of the courts. We simply either cannot understand this form, or we are of the mindset that we are nothing more than subjects of a different type of monarchy.

  28. If you don't think your browsing or comment history doesn't have you on a list-you are not paying attention.

Dem's going after Trump says enough people don't believe the elections that they need to go up to the next level. I also think all the aid to Ukraine is people in a hurry to get their graft before the reset.

I've lost faith with the FBI and won't cooperate with any of their investigations. I don't expect that to make any impact. I don't even know the last time I had a federal contact-the census? Really there is no way for me to impact or influence the Feds if elections mean nothing. Most of their influence travels down the food chain to me-it is a check valve.

This is important because how do I oppose the Federal Government if voting doesn't work. (It should be apparent by now we are not going to vote our way out of this) I'm rural. Hurt my own roads, hurt my neighbors, turn off my own power? Or what happens if I don't pay my taxes.

I think we are heading for something Similar to the French Revolution - for every guilty party hung or shot several innocents will be as well. What impact will all the legal and illegal aliens have - there are a bunch. Food riots in the cities will spread to the countryside when the ants decide to go to where all the food comes from.

Balkanization is preferable. We got too big and it was too many layers between the voter and the legislator/executive. Feedback loops got broken and there was no check in the system. We need to start thinking about what comes next and how we make sure our great grandchildren don't live in a third world dictatorship.
