So yesterday, a Christian elementary school was attacked by a clearly deranged transsexual criminal - in this case, a woman identifying as a man. Three children and three adults were murdered before the offender was herself dispatched to her eternal "reward" (which, one fears, may involve a great deal of heat and not very much light at all).
I don't intend to get into the debate over whether to refer to the shooter as "him" or "her". As far as I'm concerned (and as I've said in these pages several times before), the chromosomes have it. Was the shooter XX or XY? That settles once and for all, definitively and incontrovertibly, whether he/she/it was male or female. End of argument, end of discussion. Those who wish to distinguish "gender" from "sex" can pontificate to their hearts' content. Their opinions won't change biological and medical facts.
As a pastor and a man of faith, I must simply point out that evil remains among us, as it has since the dawn of time and as it will until the end of time. What happened yesterday was evil, pure and simple. Whether the shooter was an evil person, or whether evil influenced or took her over in some way, is irrelevant at this point. The deed, and its outcome, can't be described as anything but evil, and her participation was an act of evil. If there be forgiveness for her - if forgiveness is even possible for such unspeakable evil - then give thanks for God's mercy, and for the fact that He understands far better than ourselves what lies in the hearts of men (and women). That's His decision. (Yes, I'm capitalizing God's title and pronouns. I'm the traditional sort, and this is my blog. Live with it.) Since I'm going to be in dire need of God's mercy for my own sins, I won't seek to deny it to anyone else for theirs, no matter how sickened and horrified I may be by what they did.
When I see transsexual advocates actively proclaiming, promoting and participating in morally evil acts - not restricted to school shootings, but including exposing children to drag queen shows and other morally questionable influences, and demanding that the rest of us not only tolerate, but actually approve of such derangement - then it's very hard not to paint that entire section of society as evil in itself. I know there are many in that section who are deranged, not able to understand good and/or evil and unable to see how the latter has influenced them; but that doesn't change the objective truth of their actions. They are denying reality. They are insisting that reality is what they say it is, rather than what it objectively is. That's a lie from start to finish. A well-known tweet hilariously exposes that reality.
No amount of opining will change reality. No amount of psychological or psychiatric fixation will change human chromosomes.
As a person of faith, I believe that yesterday's school shooting in Tennessee was not only an act of evil in itself: it was also the inevitable result of allowing inaccurate, untrue, deviant perspectives and "woke" opinions to deny and defy reality. If one does that for long enough, eventually (I believe) one becomes mentally, spiritually and morally divorced from reality . . . with the result we saw yesterday.
If that opinion be politically incorrect, so be it. I'm far from alone in holding it. Indeed, some go considerably further than I do. It's morally wrong to tar all transgender individuals with the same brush, I know . . . but in the light of yesterday's horror, it's entirely understandable that some do.
Let's hope and pray that such reactions don't spill over into violence in their turn. Our society is sick enough as it is without returning evil for evil.
Peter
The horror in Nashville is the inevitable result of inflamed rhetoric from the usual suspects. If trying to prevent children from being castrated is "genocide", than any measures, however extreme, can be morally justified. And just wait until the upcoming "Day of Vengeance" on April 1. The Party of Love will be scrambling to explain why not all school shootings are the same.
ReplyDelete1st Peter 5: 8Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9Resist him, standing firm in your faith and in the knowledge that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering.…
ReplyDeleteThis "creature" was but one of the many weapons Satan has loosed upon our world.
2nd Timothy 3: Evil in the Last Days
1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 9But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
America is under God's judgement.
Protect your family.
Amen Michael...
Delete6 murdered, including 3 children under age 9 and all your going to give us isbchapter & verse.
DeleteWe are truly f'd
Prayers for the families who lost family members in this tragedy. I don't understand why this woman chose to target children - what did they do to her ?
ReplyDeleteThere has to be more to this story.
Part of the "more to this story" is that the murderer once went to this school, and 16+ years later, rejected reality to identify as trans - something / no longer rational.
DeleteThe Tennessee legislature is currently working on a law to protect children from neing subjected to chemical abuse, physical mutilation, and emotional devastation.
To the Demons of the totalitarians, these murders were their "appropriate response". They have become obdurate and capital E Evil.
John in Indy
While I haven't read much, and don't intend to, I did read that she was a former student at the school; it wouldn't be surprising if she went there because of her past there.
Delete"Gender confused" people are mentally deranged.
ReplyDeletePeople who engage in shooting sprees are mentally deranged.
I'm seeing a pattern here.
Perhaps if we institutionalize people who openly exhibit symptoms of mental derangement we would see a decrease in the number of shooting sprees.
A trans person targeted a Christian school in an act of terror. More than likely, this person was part of the "woke cult" that has caused so much civil discord over the past few years. The Democrat Party is supporting this and will be blaming the Right for the violence. This woman, and Antifa, are shock troops.
ReplyDeleteThis,
DeleteI am sure that It is alreasy being memory holed
Something that I thought was suspicious was that there was a very loud anti-gun protester at the first press conference. Did she "just happen" to be there or were they together? Co-conspirators?
ReplyDeleteContrary to press ramblings, these things are very uncommon and the odds of two improbable, independent things happening are the product of the two probabilities. That's very small. If I was in charge, I think I'd have one person look into that.
If one does that for long enough, eventually (I believe) one becomes mentally, spiritually and morally divorced from reality
ReplyDeleteJust so, from watching the struggles of a family member. What we are doing for mental health is making people with problems worse. The more I learn about the drugs used the more horrified I am. What causes real anguish is when good people are going through the process that divorces them from reality-the level of cognitive dissonance and the pain caused by it is horrifying.
The amount of pain and anguish someone has gone through to get to that point is horrifying. Our mental health care has abandoned such people or even worse pushes them further into the pit. Less than 50% of studies can now be replicated - we can't even learn by what we are doing wrong although some of the results should certainly be a signal to stop what we are doing.
I feel compelled to relate this, a story that is both sad and utterly pathetic. For awhile I was attending a UCC church with a lady friend where the pastor and his wife were a tad younger and though they were a little too liberal for my taste (going on about climate change and even had an attending member of indeterminate sex (which is OK) and all this was way before this woke garbage got so out of hand) but they did it with a great message of peace and love with humor and a lot of music. It was quite enjoyable and I was of the opinion - take what you need and leave the rest. Over time I stopped attending as much because the message was getting stronger (pride flag flying out front, what ever happened to religion and politics?, blah, blah) and the church was further away than I wanted to drive. Now I live in a red area of a blue governed state. Unbeknownst was that the wife was the librarian at that area's elementary school and has been introducing the woke, sexual agenda to the kids. Subsequently they started getting death threats and are of course appalled and indignant. What in the good Lord's name lets these people think it is ok to foist this crap on young kids? Not their business. It is sad and sickening to know this couple have gone this far left with what is nothing less than an organized agenda. Pathetic. Thx.
ReplyDeleteThis woman was what? An evil spawn from the moment of her conception? Or a link in a chain of evil visited upon her at some tender age? It is so easy and unfortunately intellectually weak to look at the perpetrator of acts such as this shooting and spit condemnation upon them and them only. This woman did in fact commit a horrific sin. How far back in time involving how many persons do the sins that manifested in yesterday's murders go? Begin to understand this question and find clarity to why the submission of Jesus Christ to Crucifixion is the only chance we have. The Passion of Christ will be upon us in 9 days. Observe it.
ReplyDeleteBravo Mr. Grant for saying it out loud. My wife is fond of saying: "God does not make mistakes" about the whole issue. I'm a bit more reserved in saying "What part of XX and XY don't you understand?"
ReplyDeleteAs I commented over at BCE's, the question I'm not seeing asked is simple: What psychotropic meds was this nutjob on, and WHEN did she stop taking them? A word of caution for all of us: When TSHTF and supply chains collapse completely, meds will run out in short order. It won't matter how remote you are in flyover country, psychotic breakdowns will happen close to you.
Liberals are the modern equivalent of "Repeat a lie often enough, and it becomes the truth"
ReplyDeletethis monster was directly, purposefully created by Progressivism. They want this for everyone, to join their sick cult of dependent freaks or to die. They infest every aspect of life to try to push their evil. See them for the enemy they are. death to all leftists
ReplyDeletePaul says in Thessalonians that God will give them over to a strong delusion in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
ReplyDeleteLooks like we're living in those times.
And the Trans Movement is already saying "See what you made us do? It's your fault."
ReplyDelete@JL: Sir, I think you misunderstand me. I don't think I've ever "made disparaging remarks about the language [you] choose to use". I merely pointed out that you express yourself rather more strongly than I do. That's neither a criticism nor a condemnation. If I were in your shoes, I daresay I'd feel much the same as you do. We come from different backgrounds, have different personalities, and express ourselves differently. There's nothing wrong with that.
ReplyDeleteI'll continue to read your blog because I learn from your perspective. You've "been there and done that" in your own country, just as I have on another continent and (to a lesser extent) in the USA. I may not always agree with you, but for your principled stance against the COVID conspiracy, you have my respect, sir. My hat's off to you. You paid a high price for your fidelity to your principles - one that few would have had the courage to pay.
If you ever feel that I'm disparaging you in any way, please e-mail me (address in the "About me & contact info" link in the sidebar), so that we can sort it out. I have nothing against you.
Thanks for leaving your comment, so that we can sort this out.
Seems even Jesus condoned violence at times: Matthew 21:12-13, Matthew 10:34-36, Luke 12:51-53, Luke 22:35-36. Far be it from me to discuss religion with a Man of God, but it seems to me even Jesus recognized the need for shall we say "less passive methods" at times. This movement is evil at its core - I don't believe "turning the other cheek" is a suitable response once that evil takes hold - as it sure appears to be accomplishing.
ReplyDeleteNobody mentioned Joe's shit-show presser, all ice cream jokes and ogling kids in the back row, when he's there to lie about guns some more?
ReplyDeleteSomebody obviously screwed up the meds regimen, again!
Soulless inhuman democrat monsters, engaging in soulless acts of monstrous inhumanity?
ReplyDeleteWho could have guessed.
