Yes, it is...

Yes, it is obvious.  Whenever I hear an apologist for "trans" young people, I throw this fact at them, and listen to them splutter - because there's no answer to that truth that does not condemn them.

  1. The huge surge in pretending to be, I mean identifying as, another gender is not organic it is all peer and queer pressure driven. It is by design and it is evil.

    1. The movement is being funded by a small group of pharmaceutical industry insiders who expect to make lots of money selling them the drugs they'll have to take every day of their lives.

  2. Also, when people claim that there have always been as many "transgender" teens as there are now, and attribute the sudden increase to greater social acceptance: ask why there hasn't been a similar increase in people in their 40s, 50s, or older identifying as transgender. It wouldn't have anything to do with young people (especially girls) being susceptible to peer pressure and social contagion, would it?? https://quillette.com/2023/02/10/social-contagion-and-transgender-identities/

  3. I'm surprised their answer isn't something like "home school parents are repressing any discussions of gender identity."

  4. I like 'make believe' rather than pretend because everything leftists do is a fairy tale.

  5. Why has there been this sudden need for teachers, administrators and school boards to even think that transgenderism and its associated ilk is an appropriate subject to discuss with, let alone promote to, students?
We need to go a step back and see what is the curricula at education degree programs. If this is being taught to teachers, it may be necessary (as I have always thought) that degrees from these institutions should be used to bar the graduates from teaching at any level. Subject matter knowledge and practical experience should be enough to be a teacher. A course or two on presentation skills, construction of standardized tests and the like should suffice.
The follow-on step is to determine why the teaching staff at education degree programs and people who run for school boards think this is something that needs to be taught.
I imagine it will be found that the sudden increase in support for 'anti-racism' (i.e. racism) and socialism, and the concurrent hatred of capitalism and law enforcement will be found to come from the same sources.

  6. Maybe, just maybe, it's due to homeschoolers actually teaching, you know, science, real science, not collectivist opinion-driven pseudoscience.

Seriously, get rid of public-school unions. Get rid of 3/4s of the administration at schools. Require a strict curriculum from K-12 that emphasizes English language skills, Math and Science, with a tech/trade-school split off around 8th grade. Everyone has to take Home Economics (cooking, cleaning, household budget, that type of thing.) Mandatory PE (and this is from someone who hated PE, seriously hated PE as I was a sickly kid.)

And make the teachers have to prove they can actually teach one grade above what they are teaching.

Want to teach math? Gotta prove it.

Want to teach English? Gotta prove it.

    Science? Gotta prove it.

    Home Ec? Prove it.

  7. @Beans
looks like I've failed: no way I'll ever take Home Ec. Boys didn''t take it in '52; don't need it now, thank you.

  8. @boron, The high school I went to in the 70s required 6 weeks of Home Ec. for everyone. Want to know how to get boys eager to take HomeEc? Teach them to make cookies and then have them bake them! Everyone was eager to take HomeEc. We also made a meal of hamburgers and fries!

  9. I liked Home Ec and wished I'd taken it more seriously at the time. I also wished I'd put a little more into the shop class, which was also quite interesting, really.

  10. In Home Ec I learned the difference between Tablespoon and teaspoon. Unfortunately it involved my salt and baking soda measurements in my cookies. Yuck! But I remember it like it was yesterday!
