This is why Hamas has to die, no matter what

Ghazi Hamad of Hamas' Political Bureau lays it on the line.

Hamad:  "Israel is a country that has no place on our land. We must remove that country, because it constitutes a security, military, and political catastrophe to the Arab and Islamic nation, and must be finished. We are not ashamed to say this, with full force.

"We must teach Israel a lesson, and we will do this again and again. The Al-Aqsa Flood is just the first time, and there will be a second, a third, a fourth, because we have the determination, the resolve, and the capabilities to fight. Will we have to pay a price? Yes, and we are ready to pay it. We are called a nation of martyrs, and we are proud to sacrifice martyrs.

"The occupation must come to an end."

News anchor: "Occupation where? In the Gaza Strip?"

Hamad: "No, I am talking about all the Palestinian lands."

News anchor: "Does that mean the annihilation of Israel?"

Hamad: "Yes, of course ... The existence of Israel is illogical. The existence of Israel is what causes all that pain, blood, and tears. It is Israel, not us. We are the victims of the occupation. Period. Therefore, nobody should blame us for the things we do. On October 7, October 10, October 1,000,000 – everything we do is justified."

Kudos to MEMRI for publishing his comments (and the video report in which he made them) in such detail.  Now we know where Hamas stands . . . and where we stand - where all right-thinking people must stand.

There is no place in a civilized world for anyone who can speak so casually about the mass gang-rape and murder of women, and the mass slaying of children, as "justified".  Any person, and any organization, that can say such things so openly has self-defined as being in need of elimination, so that the rest of human society can rest easier at night.

It's as simple as that.  Israel needs no further justification to eliminate Hamas.  That organization has already provided enough, and more than enough, out of the mouths of Mr. Hamad and its other spokesmen.  As I've said before, there is a moral imperative upon Israel to do its utmost to protect innocent victims in Gaza . . . but that it must eliminate Hamas, even at the tragic cost of some innocent victims, is an overwhelming, pre-eminent priority.  Far too few people appear to realize that - even in Israel.

When someone says he's out to destroy you, you'd better believe him, and act on that belief, lest you find out the hard way he meant it . . . because after that discovery, you'll no longer be able to act.

Peter

  1. And the elimination needs to start at the top, wherever they are being sheltered.

  2. Read your Bible Joshua chapter 6 about the battle for Jerico and put what the Israelites did to the people that lived in that land in the context of what's happening today. The bible tells us several times that what we give we will receive in kind. Or what goes around comes around. I don't like either side of this fight. Neither of them can claim the moral high ground. It's not our fight. We should stay out of it. ---ken

    1. If I remember some of the Old Testament correctly, there were several times Israel showed “mercy” and disobeyed God by allowing a small number of their enemies to live. It never ended well.

I’ve been thinking this for quite a while.

  4. There are millions of these barbarians--or at least the weak fools who support them without reservation--in our country right now. Most of them wouldn't have the stomach to act out their sadistic fantasies, but some will. The barbarians are inside the walls, and many in our government will do absolutely nothing to dissuade them. God help us all.

  5. The US can take a simple action to address much of this: formally declare war on the Iranian government and all groups being funded by them, particularly Hezbollah and Hamas.

A declaration of war does not mean you have to immediately start taking military action or invade their territory. We're technically still at war with North Korea, after all. In this case, it is simply a recognition of the situation: they chant "Death to America" in the Iranian legislature, and there's no two ways about it, they mean it. They mean it every time. It's time we stopped being patronizing white knights saying, "Oh, you useless ineffectual scamps, you're such rascals that we don't take seriously!"

So, we declare (recognize) the state of war between the USA and the government of Iran and their international proxies. What now?

Now, as enemies of the USA, giving aid and comfort constitutes treason if you're a citizen and enemy action out of uniform if you're not a citizen. An allied government aiding the enemy would be considered a hostile act. Past actions of support will be viewed with extreme prejudice and warrant scrutiny to detect further support.

Frankly, I'd expect the universities to be emptied of a lot of their non-rigorous academic faculty.

  6. “…but that it must eliminate Hamas, even at the tragic cost of some innocent victims.” So, genocide is ok as long as it’s the Israeli’s doing it. Got it.

  7. The Other Andrew B says "The barbarians are inside the walls, and many in our government will do absolutely nothing to dissuade them."

Very true -- but the barbarians have come from BOTH sides, and both sides are in our government, in our universities, and in our press.

This war is not my country, not my flag, not my army, not my people, not my history, not my bank account, and definitely NOT MY BUSINESS. For anyone who feels like it is THEIR business, feel free to buy a plane ticket and go fight for whichever group of criminals you support. Why do people always think that their personal feelings and private allegiance gives them authority to drag our whole nation into a war?

  8. @Anonymous at 4:34PM: I said that Hamas has to die, not everyone in Gaza. Hamas is probably a small minority of the latter, albeit with a lot of supporters. It's the active terrorists we have to eliminate, along with the most fanatical of their supporters - not the others. That's not genocide.

  9. What's the difference between Hamas and the Left?

Hamas knows what a woman is.*

I'm not worried about Hamas in the Middle East. I more worried about what's happening in the US and the message and actions of TPTB.

the musloids want to kill each and every one of us. Each and every one.

    Our mothers, wives, daughters, sisters.

They have been wanting, and trying damn hard, to do this since moHAMmad, may piss be upon him, has been raping little girls.

The allah, may piss be upon him, worshipers are here amongst us as we speak. They are just waiting for word to jump.

Sadly, a lot fo folks are gonna doe before we turn the bloosy tide they are bringing in.

  12. Society puts rabid dogs down for reasons. As said above, the God of Isreal has told the Children of Yahuweh to put various peoples "under the ban", before the Promised Land was settled. This fight's been going on long before David slung his sling, and used Goliath's sword to behead him. Goliath was champion of the Philistines. The Philistines BECAME the Palistinians. Yes , an old fight....

  13. My instinct is to withdraw from the international stuff but what Tirno says has some merit and we should do the same for the Chicoms.

Good grief! Whatever happened with properly reading the Bible and understanding historical narratives.
Where is the bonafide prophet of God ordering the slaughter today?
Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth ... means proportionality in punishment.

    1. How does one define proportionality when it comes to ideology? If this were about land, it would make sense not to over respond as happened in prior wars against Israel when countries were attacking. Why is restraint only for Israel even though they have more justification for this war? It is asymmetrical and therefore proportionately is a tactic to beat Israel and must be resisted until Hamas starts fighting according to the Geneva Convention.

  15. Jaimelin Texas. I didn't say that there was a bonafide prophet ordering the slaughter. But the Palestinians are Muslim and that's the way they see it so that is what they are going to do. So we should stay out of it as we didn't start it. Or maybe we did. Anyway it's not our fight---jen

My point is that there are historical narratives that describe imperatives/commands that are bound in time and space and are not principles or laws, which are not bound.
Israel, IIRC, was not to engage in warfare without God's sanction through his prophet at the time.
Each new covenant abrogate, modify or add to the previous.
And, still, historical narratives are not commands/laws applicable outside its time and place.I

    Agreed on staying out.
